Dramas with * are considered to be in prime timeslots with less competition from other dramas
Melody of Love and My Dear Cat start 25 minutes before other channels for example
Other compete mostly with news programs
You Who Came from the Stars and Empress Ki were the top dramas outside these slots.

Most other dramas hovered around 8-12% anything above 12% would be considered doing above average, anything below 8% the drama did poorly.

  1. "12% would be considered doing above average, anything below 8% the drama did poorly" and from what % can we say a drama is a hit?

    1. These days getting above 15% is a hit.
      Previously 20% was the aim.
However there are certain timeslots where 20% is doing poorly because there is little competition as other channels are showing news or other programs.
KBS in particular has a timeslot where it shows family dramas that always rate well but that's not really a reflection of overall popularity.
